\n HF – Any HF frequency where Tech class license is allowed to operate
\n4. Modes
\n SSB (voice)
\n FM
\n Digital (CW is a digital mode)
\n D-STAR (is a voice mode)
\n DMR (is a voice mode)
\n Fusion (is a voice mode)
\n 5. Contacts may be simplex or repeater
\n Any simplex frequency is allowed
\n6. Any station can be worked once per band per mode (Once on simplex or repeater. These are not two separate modes)
\n7. Exchange
\n Call Sign. Old GARS member or New member – add OM or NM (ie. AF4FG\/OM or KI4QCI\/NM )
\n8. Personal Greeting.
\n Since one purpose of this contest is for members to get to know each
\n other, a face to face greeting after the contact is made should be attempted
\n9. Scoring
\n 1 point for each voice contact
\n 1 point for each digital contact
\n 1 bonus point for successful Personal Greeting
\n * New members are those who have joined GARS since 10\/1\/24. Anyone who was a
\n member in the past but has not been a dues paying member for at least 10 years prior
\n to rejoining after 10\/1\/24 is considered a new member for purposes of this contest.
\n (Since a new member cannot contact himself he automatically receives 1 bonus point)
\n10. Awards
\n Top Ten scores receive a GARS hat unique to this year\u2019s contest
\n All participants who turn in a log receive a GARS patch or decal
\n11. Logging
\n Log Call Sign of station contacted, NM or OM, Frequency, Mode, date of
\n contact and Personal Greeting (yes or no)
\n Logs must be submitted electronically by midnight October 31, 2025 to af4fg@arrl.net

\n Individuals cannot be within sight of each other except in the case where one
\n or both are in a moving vehicle. Both cannot be in the same vehicle
\n15. Net Rule
\n The net control for any net may not count each check in as a contact nor may
\n each check in count the net control as a contact<\/p>\n
