Contest begins Oct 10th at 6:00 PM and ends Oct 12th at 11:59 PM<br \/>\n2. Only GARS members may participate<br \/>\n3. Bands UHF VHF<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;2 Meters<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;1.25 Meters<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;70 cm<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;33 cm<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;23 cm<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Any amateur GHz freq<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; HF &#8211; Any HF frequency where Tech class license is allowed to operate<br \/>\n4. Modes<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; SSB (voice)<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; FM<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Digital (CW is a digital mode)<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; D-STAR (is a voice mode)<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; DMR (is a voice mode)&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Fusion (is a voice mode)&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;5. Contacts may be simplex or repeater<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Any simplex frequency is allowed<br \/>\n6. Any station can be worked once per band per mode (Once on simplex or repeater. These are not two separate modes)<br \/>\n7. Exchange<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Call Sign. Old GARS member or New member &#8211; add OM or NM (ie. AF4FG\/OM or KI4QCI\/NM )<br \/>\n8. Personal Greeting.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; Since one purpose of this contest is for members to get to know each<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp; other, a face to face greeting after the contact is made should be attempted<br \/>\n9. Scoring<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;1 point for each voice contact<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;1 point for each digital contact<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;1 bonus point for successful Personal Greeting&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;* New members are those who have joined GARS since 10\/1\/24. Anyone who was a<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;member in the past but has not been a dues paying member for at least 10 years prior<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;to rejoining after 10\/1\/24 is considered a new member for purposes of this contest.<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;(Since a new member cannot contact himself he automatically receives 1 bonus point)<br \/>\n10. Awards<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Top Ten scores receive a GARS hat unique to this year\u2019s contest<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;All participants who turn in a log receive a GARS patch or decal<br \/>\n11. Logging<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Log Call Sign of station contacted, NM or OM, Frequency, Mode, date of<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;contact and Personal Greeting (yes or no)<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Logs must be submitted electronically by midnight October 31, 2025 to af4fg@arrl.net<br \/>\n12. Arranged Contacts<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Times for contacts and frequencies to be used may be arranged<br \/>\n14. Visual Rule<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Individuals cannot be within sight of each other except in the case where one<br \/>\n&nbsp; &nbsp;or both are in a moving vehicle. Both cannot be in the same vehicle<br \/>\n15.
