However, any area that you have questions in can be sent to the Elmers. When you send the email, put in the area of the question \u2013 makes it easier to get to the right \u201cexpert\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the areas where there are volunteer Elmers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DMR<\/li>\n<li>Raspberry Pi<\/li>\n<li>Linux-based ham radio apps<\/li>\n<li>Antenna design, troubleshoot and launching<\/li>\n<li>Antenna matching and tuners<\/li>\n<li>Transmission lines (coax, twin-lead\/ladder line, BALUN\/UNUN)<\/li>\n<li>Soldering<\/li>\n<li>LF\/MW\/HF\/VHF\/UHF\/Microwave propagation<\/li>\n<li>Audio and phone operation<\/li>\n<li>Power supplies<\/li>\n<li>General rig troubleshooting<\/li>\n<li>Mountaintop operations<\/li>\n<li>Solar and battery power<\/li>\n<li>VHF\/UHF\/Microwave operation (including VUCC and general 6 meter operation)<\/li>\n<li>HF operation (including 160 meter and 60 meter operation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gars.org\/gars\/Email-Elmers\/\">Email<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Email our Elmer group if you need help.
