GARS Meeting minutes June 8, 2004. 

19:30 – Earl AF4FG Vice President opened the meeting. David our President is in Colorado.

 Introductions done by all present name and call sign.

 Dan  KF4YSU Treasurers report, Dan explained in more detail those items that are expensed under misc. category.

 Minutes for May published in the Garzette accepted as published.

 Scholarship winner announced Zach Bennett.

Program for the month of June “Field Day”

 We will be a 8 Alpha GA using the call sign W4GR. 

 Field Day is a serious event. It is practice for an emergency where there is no power.

There are over 1,200 hams in Gwinnett county.

 Ice Chests will be needed, help for setup. At least six people are needed to setup the ladder tower. All eight transmitters for 24 hours, computer logging folks needed.

Computers will be provided.

 All were accepted as new members by voice vote.

 Norm WA4AXV Garzette, If you have a web site that mentions Ham Radio you could have a pointer form the GARS site. Also a volunteer is needed to submit a story about yourself, Ken Dalton KI4BQS volunteered.
