Through its Memorandum of Understanding with Gwinnett County Emergency Management, Gwinnett County ARES is recognized as the official representative of the Amateur Radio community for assistance provided during events which overtax the agency and commercial communications infrastructure.  To provide expected resources, Gwinnett ARES provides training to its members who must be certified to be issued a unique ID that permits them to assist in those events.  What has ARES been up to lately?  What are we doing to prepare for the potential event where we are asked to respond to assist our community?  What can you do to become part of this effort?  All these questions and any you might have about ARES will be answered at the March meeting of GARS.
